Copenhagen, FEB 02, 203 (newstodate): Nigerian airline, Albarca Air Plc plans to expand its domestic and international operations, according to online news serice, AllAfrica.
The airline says it wants to commence operations along the West African coast, Ghana, Ivory Coast on the international routes while it will be operating to Kano- Maiduguri- Jedda- Dubai on the local routes.
The company also intends to offer passenger and cargo service for the United Nations peace keeping forces within Africa, as well as provide special cargo services for the Central Bank and the Nigerian Armed forces, the airline's ceo said.
Albarca Air is heavily involved the Hajj operations to bring pilgrims to Saudi Arabia. The airline has so far airlifted 16,203 pilgrims even as it has concluded arrangements to airlift additionally 10,000 pilgrims ahead of the February 3, 2003 deadline set by the National Committee on Hajj.
