Iceland will be supervising the process now to be launched to migrate Pristina Airport in Kosovo from NATO to UN command.
Headed by Hallgr�mur N. Sigur�sson, Deputy Director of ICAA ATC division, a team has been set up in Iceland to supervise the process.
After conclusion of the migration, UN will supervise the transmission of power over the airport to local civilian authority.
The Icelandic-lead team comprises members from 14 nations, making it be single largest peace-keeping task supervised by Iceland, being also the first time Iceland is leading a project
like this in NATO.
