FEB 27, 2003 (newstodate): Faroe airline, Atlantic Airways will operate from Danish airport, Billund to the Faroe Islands during the summer period alongside their traffic from Copenhagen to the Faroe Islands, the company says.
-While the winter season does not warrant our services at Billund, we will fly up to four weekly flights from June 23 to August 30, already implementing one weekly from from May 18 to September 29, says Per Levring, Atlantic Airways station manager at Copenhagen.
From Copenhagen Airport, Atlantic Airways operates nine flights during the winter programme, increasing to 18 flights during the summer.
While primarily passenger-oriented, the Billund flights will take freight over-flow from Copenhagen to the Faroe Islands.
