DEC 11, 2003 (newstodate): The US Federal Aviation Administration has agreed to support the decision by Kenya's government to upgrade the country's airports and aviation systems.
FAA staff is already in the country to help Kenya develop programmes for evaluation, improvement and operation of the aviation system, amiming at attaining Category One rating of the International Aviation Safety Audit.
When this goal has been achieved, the country's airlines will gain access to operate into destinations in the United States and elsewhere.
