DEC 10, 2003 (newstodate): The Swedish air cargo market dropped by four percent during January-September, to a total of 66,66,676 tonnes of air cargo on IATA carriers.
Gross turnover did not fare better, down 6.9 percent to SEK 1.6 billion.
North America remains Sweden's top export are, consituting 44.7 percent of the total volume, and up seven percent over last year.
Also on the rise was Central America and the caribbean, up 78 percent, althoug this segment only constitutes 4.2 percent of total volumes.
Expect the Middle East, up 1.4 percent, and Africa, up 9.3 percent, volumes were down in all other segments, including China, 7.4 percent, and Japan, down 12.2 percent.
Despite the over-all decrease, Sweden did note a sustained upward trend from Q1 to Q3, albeit at levels below those of last year.
