DEC 05, 2003 (newstodate): With effect from January 1, 2004, Norway's Schenker AS takes over the airfrieght activities of ABC Airfreight at Trondheim.
The take-over will further bolster Schenker's air- and seafreight position in the middle and northern regions of Norway, and enable the company to offer full services within transport and logistics.
The acquisition is part of Schenker's strategy to provide both land, sea and air solutions in Norway, integrated within the European markets.
Earlier this year, Schenker took over another major Norwegian freight forwarding company, Northern Cargo, specialising in fresh salmon logistics.
