DEC 25, 2003 (newstodate): Lithuanian Airlines has decided to sell its shares in its fully-owned subsidiary Air Lithuania.
The airline also plans to sell shares inits catering and travel agency subsidiaries.
The shares of the joint stock company Air Lithuania will be sold in a tender procedure.
Air Lithuania carries passengers and cargo on scheduled and charter flights from Kaunas and Palanga International Airports to Hamburg, Billund, Oslo, Malmo.
According to industry sources, SAS that earlier backed down earlier in 2003 from buying into Lithuanian Airlines as sole tender participant may be interested in acquiring the Air Lithuania subsiduary as part of its over-all Baltic strategy.
