The accord was reached on December 1, and will take efffect from January 1, 2004, two years after the abrogation of the former relations.
Under the new accord, the parties are alowed to operate aircraft up to the size of Boeing 747, and plans are to add Chennai as a third destination in addition to Islamabad and Delhi.
