DEC 08, 2003 (newstodate): The Bulgarian Ministry of Defence has ordered a total of seven Pilatus aircraft for the Bulgarian Air Forces.
One of the aircraft will be dedicated to special operations such as transportation of more than 1.5 tonnes of cargo over distances of up to 4,000 km.
The cargo aircraft will be used to bring supplies to Bulgarian troop contingents in Iraq and Afghanistan, and is slated for delivery before Christmas already.
The remaining six aircrafts are expected to be delivered by the end of 2004.
