DEC 15, 2003 (newstodate): This year's Hajj operation promises to be the largest so far by Air Atlantic Icelandic.
-The operation is one of the biggest we have ever done and will cover movements from Surabaya in Indonesia in the east to Manchester in the United Kingdom in the west into Jeddah and Medina in Saudi Arabia, says Hafthor Hafsteinsson, Air Atlantic CEO.
-We will have four B747s with Garuda Indonesia, one B747 with Air Algerie and five B747s and three B767s with Saudi Arabian Airlines. We will have around 1,100 people from over 40 nationalities working on this project, he says.
The Hajj starts December 26 and runs until March 4, 2004.
