NOV 27, 2003 (newstodate): Talks are still pending between the UK and Georgia concerning the signing of an agreement on civil aviation cooperation.
The issue has now been forwarded to the Goegian parliament for ratification, as a basis for establishing regular flights between Tblisi and London.
British charter operator, British Mediterranean Airways has said it will not operate charter flights into Georgia before the national agreement has been signed by both parties.
In the meantime, Tuyrkish Airlines has recently resumed twice-weekly regular flights from Istanbul to Tblisi.
