NOV 17, 2003 (newstodate): Croatia Airlines has seen its fuel consumption significantly down after its replacement of Boeing 737 by Airbus aircraft.
The airline now operates a fleet of four Airbus A319, three A320 and three ATR 42 aircraft.
After the replacement of the Boeing 737 with CFM-powered Airbus aircraft, fuel consumption has been reduced by seven percent, the airline says.
-The Airbus aircraft pollute the environment less, and at the same time carry a greater number of passengers and fly faster than the Boeings, a statement reads.
In mid-September Croatia Airlines received the Track Keeping recognition award for 2002 by Manchester Airport in recognition of the fact that the airline's aircraft came first in adherence to required flight procedures and ecological standards of noise protection.
