NOV 13, 2003 (newstodate): During the winter season effective from October 28, passenger charter airline Britannia Airways provides significant cargo capacity from Sweden to the Emirates, constituting an alternative to Emirates SkyCargo's services.
Operating four times weekly out of Stockholm, with one flight via Malmoe in Southern Sweden, the airline has a capacity of 12 tonnes per flight on their Boeing 767-200 aircraft.
-Britannia Airways generates significant cargo export shipment from primarily small and medium-size businesses, and ad-hoc shipments from all over the market, says Agnes Lindbergh, Kales Airlines Service, Britiannia Airways' cargo GSA.
-The bulk of the cargo is generated in the Swedish market, but the Norwegian markets also contributes with shipments of fresh salmon and other fish produtcs export. Besides, due to the flight through Malmoe, we also take a share of the market in Denmark, she says.
