NOV 26, 2003 (newstodate): Hungarian freight forwarder AES and its sister company, Move One, are positioning for a stake in an expected boom in Georgian cargo.
-The international community is expected to step up its role in Georgia as the new political landscape unfolds. In anticipation of this, we are preparing for a jump in cargo volumes, particularly from diplomatic freight and humanitarian aid shipments, the company says.
AES Cargo started its Georgian operations in 2001 and has since handled a wide variety of freight forwarding projects, including providing logistical assistance to the U.S. government's anti-terrorism training program in the former Soviet republic.
