OCT 29, 2003 (newstodate): Siberia Airlines saw both passenger and cargo volumes up in September, and reports sound development throughout the year.
During January-September 2003, Siberia Airlines carried a total of 2,642,000 passengers, up 23.1 percent on last year.
According to data on the first six months of the year provided by the Transport Clearing Organization, Siberia Airlines ranked first among Russian airlines in passenger traffic on domestic flights, and second on international flights.
In January-September 2002, the airline carried a total of 13,704 tonnes of air cargo, and generated a traffic volume of 41,6 million ton-kilometres.
During the same period this year, total air cargo volume was up by 10.5 percent to 15,138 tonnes, while production increased by 5.6 percent to 45,9 million ton-kilometer.
