OCT 09, 2003 (newstodate): Polar Air Cargo's GSA in Finland since September 2002, Stella Naves Oy Ltd, is seeing business up in Q3.
-The first quarter this year was acceptable, second quarter was bad, but since the third quarter business has been brisk and satisfactory, says Erik Byman, Stella Naves director.
-Polar's business will be further boosted by the addition of the airline's new routes to India and the Far East, in addition to the attractive coverage of the North American market, he says.
Polar's shipments are trucked from Finland either to the airline's hub in Gothenburg, Sweden, or directly into the hub in Liege.
According to Bymann, Stella Naves is now "open for business" and will seek GSA contracts with other airlines, not conflicting with Polar Air Cargo's interests.
