OCT 27, 2003 (newstodate): During September, Oslo Airport saw significant growth in cargo and mail volumes after months of sustained decline.
In September, total volumes were up by 20 percent to 6,609 tonnes. Import grew by 28 percent, to 2,730 tonnes, and exports increased by 15 percent to 3,880 tonnes.
For the period January-September, the growth was less steep, with total cargo and mail volumes up five percent, to 52,617 tonnes. Imports and exports were up by seven and four percent, respectively.
