OCT 28, 2003 (newstodate): Turkish cargo airline, Orex has appointed Pace Airline Management as its exclusive general sales agent for the UK and
Ireland to spearhead the launch of its first scheduled services between London and Istanbul.
Orex has been operating charter services since November 2002, operating an Airbus A300C4-200 freighter with 40 tonnes of capacity, utilising 13 maindeck and four lower deck pallet positions.
It operated its first scheduled flight from London Gatwick to Istanbul on October 19th, 2003.
The airline offers two scheduled weekly flights from Istanbul to Brussels and London, with a third flight due to be added shortly.
Also in the pipeline are flights to link the Turkish capital with Frankfurt as well as the launch of three weekly services from India to Brussels and London via Istanbul.
