OCT 13, 2003 (newstodate): Compared to previous years, Lufthansa Cargo's loads in September were considerably below targets.
-September usually marks the start of the autumn peak, but this year the peak seems to be at least somewhat delayed, says Bettina Stock, Lufthansa Cargo communications manager.
Lufthansa Cargo was down by three percent in total volumes, with negative growth in all markets.
-We still expect the air cargo market to pick up again before the Christmas season, but we note the negative growth in all product segments this year, including general and special cargo, she says.
