OCT 22, 2003 (newstodate): On Friday, Finnish air company Finncomm will take over its first Embraer ERJ-145, adding to its fleet of SAAB 340 and SAAB 200 aircraft.
Partnering and codesharing with Finnair, Finncomm will introduce the aircraft on the new route between Helsinki and Stuttgart, served two times daily from next week, with exact start of operations yet to be decided.
-We still have some paper work to do, but everything is now close to being finalized, says Juhani Pakari, Finncomm managing director.
A three-year plan has been designed, including a fleet of eventually five Embraer aircraft, and the opening of new destinations.
-Our second Embraer will be added before summer 2004, but it is still too early to announce our plans in further details, he says.
Finncomm is 100 percent privately owned and serves a number of domestic destinations in Finland with SAAB aircraft.
