OCT 29, 2003 (newstodate): Bulgaria is preparing for a new round in attracting foreign investors to operate two provincial airports at Varna and
Burgas.
Bulgaria's government is expected to pass amendments to the Civil Aviation Act, allowing concessionaires to levy airport taxes in return to committing to invest into the infrastructure and develop non-aviation trade activities.
Concessionaires will obtain the right to exploit the airport infrastructure for 35 years in return for the commitment to invest back taxes.
