OCT 21, 2003 (newstodate): In September, combined air cargo volumes at Berlin's three airports were down by one percent to a total of 21,652 tonnes.
-But in our single most important niche aggragating around 50 percent of the total, express cargo, volumes were up by four percent, says Torsten Jueling, Berlin Airports product manager air cargo.
According to Jueling, Berlin Airports top the ranks of German airports as to express cargo, being served by all four major integrators.
Jueling says this summer has seen an unusual "seasonal gap" in air cargo volumes, accounting for the slight drop in the overall figures
