OCT 28, 2003 (newstodate): Aeroflot's ongoing fleet modernization providing substitution of 27 western-made aircraft proceeds through the new winter program.
The new aircraft will be introduced on specifically designated routes as they arrive. Thus, the Boeing 767 acquired within the program is used for flights on the route Moscow-Tokyo-Moscow.
The first Airbus A319 received in October will be used on routes to Copenhagen and Helsinki.
Till the end of the year seven Airbus A319/320 aircraft will be used for flights to Munich, Brussels, Ekaterinburg, Paris, London and Madrid.
Finally, four DC-10-40F freighters will be operated in the new winter program.
