Copenhagen, JAN 17, 2003 (newstoday): Ukrainian carrier, Aerosvit which operates a thrice-weekly service Kiev-Stockholm plans to introduce a freighter service to Scandinavia early this spring, according to its Scandinavian representative in Stockholm.
-If plans go through we will dedicate an AN-12 freighter to fly from Kiev to Scandinavia. The aircraft has a freight capacity at 15 tonnes and may feed air cargo into our hub at Kiev for distribution within CIS, Nicolai Pichniakov told newstoday.
According to Pichniakov, Aerosvit has still not made its final decision on the destination in Scandinavia eventually to be served.
Aerosvit also inaugurated, on November 4, 2002, its first longhaul route Kiev-Bangkok, operating a leased ex-SAS Boeing 767-300 aircraft.
