Copenhagen, JAN 29, 2003 (newstodate): Not surprisingly perhaps, price still reigns undisputedly as the No. 1 determining parameter in transport buyers' minds.
Icelandic shipping line and transport services provider, Samskip has published the results from a survey in 2002 among customers in Benelux, UK, Norway and Sweden.
On a 100-points scale, price scored 45, and reliability 25 points. Followed by transit time (7.5), flexibility (6), ability to cover all transport needs (5.5), personal relationship (4.5), previous succesful experience (3) - and, almost invisible: ability to provide environmentally friendly transports, 0.1 points.
