Copenhagen, JAN 29, 2003 (newstodate): From January, DHL Aviation has adjusted its traffic system to enhance services in the Swedish market.
Thus, one of two daily flights from British Midlands via DHL Aviation's Nordic hub at Copenhagen Airport has been rerouted to bypass Copenhagen, flying insted directly to Stockholm.
-With this adjustment, we are now in a better position to serve an increased number of zip codes around Stockholm with time-definite courier shipments delivered prior to 12:00 noon. The adjustment also means that we have earlier delivery times in the morning, and later cut-off times in the evening, says Sandro Penzo, DHL Aviation general manager, Copenhagen.
-We have also cancelled the flight Copenhagen-Orebro/Sweden, serving instead Orebro directly out of Stockholm. This is also part of the current deployment of Boeing 757 freighters to succeed the ageing Boeing 727 aircraft, Penzo says.
Other adjustments include a connection between Stockholm and Helsinki.
