Copenhagen, JAN 29, 2003 (newstodate): Boeing has set up its top management team to materialize plans for the new Boeing 7E7 airliner.
The team is headed by Michael B. Blair as senior vp of the Boeing 7E7 program.
The projected Boeing 7E7 is conceived as a 200-250 seat aircraft capable of flying 7-8,000 nautical miles at speeds similar to the Boeing 777 and 747.
The new aircraft to be designed to meet critical demands as to cost-efficiency will target a market seen by Boeing's forecasters to comprise some 3,000 units over the next 20 years.
Boeing plans to formally offer the new aircraft to the market by early 2004, with expected entry-into-service by 2008.
