Jan 11, 2018 (newstodate): The Danish aerospace company Terma has been selected to upgrade the existing Terma Surface Movement Radar at Madrid Barajas Airport North Tower.
The new contract follows on a similar contract in 2017 for a similar upgrade project for the South Tower.

A total of more than 130 international airports around the globe are now equipped with SMR-radars from Terma.
The Surface Movement Radar maximizes safety in airports by allowing Air Traffic Controllers to monitor, advice, and direct aircraft, vehicles, personnel etc. moving on the ground at an airport.
