Jan 23, 2017 (newstodate): Turkish Airlines may be struggling with a modest increase in passenger traffic as the country is loosing much of its attraction as a tourist destination.
But on the cargo side, the carrier was doing nicely in 2016, with a total of 876,288 tonnes of cargo carried by passenger and cargo aircraft.
This was an increase by 22 percent, y-o-y, comparing to the modest rise in passenger figures that were up only 2.5 percent in 2016.
On the freighter side, Turkish Cargo now operates a fleet comprising eight Airbus A330-200F, three A310F and one A300F freighters.
