Jan 09, 2017 (newstodate): The Iranian carrier Mahan Air seems to be satisfied with the performance of its route between Tehran and Copenhagen.
Since June 9, 2016, the carrier has been operating two weekly rotations between Tehran and Copenhagen with Airbus A340 aircraft.
A decision has now been made to add one more weekly flight to the schedule, starting from June 13, 2017, still with Airbus A340-300 aircraft.
The idea of a third rotation was aired already in August, 2016, in a newstodate-interview with Hossein Abdolahi, Mahan Air International Affairs Expert.
The carrier would like to launch flights to Stockholm, Sweden, as well but so far certain political issues have barred this opening.
No plans have been made for flights to Norway, but Mahan Air has long been considering opening flights to Helsinki, Finland.
