Jun 24, 2016 (newstodate): Starting from today, Copenhagen Airport will have yet another direct connection to Istanbul.
The Turkish carrier AtlasGlobal is to offer daily flights between Copenhagen and Istanbul Ataturk Airport with Airbus A320 aircraft, adding to the competition on the route.
Today, four Turkish airlines are serving the route, and with AtlasGlobal the route will have a total of 197 rotations during July 2016, increasing 38.7 percent compared to July 2015.
Copenhagen will be AtlasGlobal's second Scandinavian destination after Stockholm that was included from March 16, 2016, with a daily flight, bringing the total of daily flights between Istanbul and Stockholm to up to seven rotations as both Turkish Airlines and Pegasus Airlines are already on-line on the route.
AtlasGlobal, until March 2015 trading under the name of Atlasjet, operates scheduled domestic and international passenger services as well as charter flights, mostly out of its base at Istanbul Ataturk Airport, with a fleet of 21 Airbus A320 Family aircraft.
