May 25, 2016 (newstodate): While still not officially announced by the company, Turkish Airlines Cargo is testing the Norwegian airfreight market with one weekly Airbus A330-200F operation to Istanbul.
The first flights into Norway's Oslo Gardermoen Airport was performed on May 22, 2016, technically as a diversion from the normal route Istanbul-Helsinki-Stockholm-Istanbul as the aircraft flew directly into Oslo from Istanbul, proceeding to Arlanda while cutting out the flight to Helsinki that is normally served with two weekly rotations.
So far a series of eight subsequent Sunday freighter flights at Oslo has been set up with flight number TK6315, according to industry sources that also say that inbound shipments to Oslo comprise fruits and vegetables while Norwegian seafood and general cargo is loaded for onward flights via Istanbul.
newstodate is seeking confirmation from Turkish Airlines Cargo on plans for future freighter services at Oslo Airport.
