In Norway, the region's largest IATA export airfreight market, Qatar reigns supreme at the top of the list with 1,675 tonnes in July 2014, albeit down 2.97 percent, y-o-y, but holding 14.50 percent of the market.
In Denmark, the carrier generated 496 tonnes of cargo, up 34.42 percent and holding 7.47 percent of the market.
In Sweden, Qatar Airways was up 4.87 percent to 325 tonnes, equaling 4.27 percent of the market, and finally in Finland the carrier grew its volumes in July by 233.46 percent to 191 tonnes, 6.72 percent of the market.
The first passenger flight by Qatar Airways to Oslo was performed on October 5, 2011, flights on the route to Stockholm Arlanda from Doha International Airport were inaugurated from November 27, 2007, and Copenhagen, in Denmark, became a destination on the carrier's route map from March 30, 2010.
Starting from January 29, 2013, Qatar Airways Cargo also became online at Oslo Gardermoen Airport with a Boeing 777F freighter, from July 6, 2013, the company added a second weekly freighter frequency, a third flight was added from October 27, 2013, and a fourth freighter is to arrive on October 1, 2014.
