Apr 24, 2014 (newstodate): The new Romanian low-cost airline Fly Romania, in the air since March 11, 2014, is already mulling plans for taking in more aircraft capacity.
Currently operating one MD-82 and one MD-83 aircraft, preparations are underway to add one Boeing 737 aircraft by mid-June.
Operating from Bucharest-Henri Coanda, Timisoara and Tulcea, Fly Romania will eventually offer seasonal flights to a range of tourist destinations in Turkey, Italy, Spain and Germany as well as regular year-round flights to selected destinations in Europe.
