Apr 23, 2014 (newstodate): Taking effect from May 1, 2014, the Nordic handling group Aviator is taking over the handling of Thomas Cook Airlines Scandinavia at eight Nordic stations.
So far, the carrier has been handled by the SAS Group's SGH, but this business will now go to Aviator at Denmark's Copenhagen Airport, the Swedish airports at Arlanda, Gothenburg, Luleaa, Umeaa, Visby and Malmo as well as Norway's Moss Rygge Airport.
From the start, the handling will be provided under two different company names, Aviator and Nordic Aero as the re-branding process of the companies in the Aviator Group has still not been fully completed.
-It has, admittedly, required some extra time to have all elements in the re-branding process in place, including uniforms, signs and other details. The process was originally planned to be completed by February 1, 2014, but is now reset for completion by May 20, 2014, says Catharina Redgaard, Aviator Airport Alliance Europe AB CCO.
