Dec 03, 2013 (newstodate): Short of aircraft capacity after Estonian Air withdrew from its wet-lease cooperation with Air Lituanica from November 28, 2013, the carrier has secured temporary fresh capacity.
Air Lituanica has contracted the Lithuanian ACMI provider Small Planet Airlines to place one Airbus A320 aircraft on a wet-lease during the coming holiday period where the carrier will operate also special flights from Vilnius and Palanga to London and Dublin.
Plans are next to expand the aircraft fleet by spring 2014, in addition to the single Embraer 175 operated on a leasing contract with ECC Leasing Company, an Embraer subsidiary.
