APR 29, 2009 (newstodate): Latvian carrier airBaltic plans a return to neighbouring Lithuania in full force once the prevailing economic downturn in the Baltic region has eased.
-The decision to pull out from several direct routes from Vilnius to a number of European destinations was certainly not a strategic one, says Bertoldt Flick, airBaltic president & CEO at the ongoing airport conference in Riga.
-When the situation has improved, we plan to reinstall a number of direct flights from our second Baltic hub in Lithuania, says Mr Fliok.
