Feb 04, 2025 (newstodate): Still unconfirmed, industry sources expect to see Air India returning services on the route to Stockholm, Sweden, later in 2025.
   Supporting the rumors is Air India's stop of flights between Kochi and London by the end of this winter schedule, potentially freeing scarce capacity for a return to the route to Stockholm, sources claim.
   Air India first launched flights between Delhi and Stockholm from August 15, 2017, and between Delhi and Copenhagen from September 16, 2017, both destinations served by three weekly rotations using Boeing 787-8 aircraft.
   However, in August 2020 Air India pulled out from both routes to Scandinavia as the Covid-19 hit the markets, and Air India has still not published plans for reviving the flights to Stockholm.  
   In the meantime, Air India has returned to Scandinavia with the opening flight on March 1, 2023, between New Delhi and Copenhagen, using Boeing 787-8 aircraft.
