Feb 03, 2025 (newstodate): With the first flight on January 31, 2025, the Japanese carrier ANA is now online at Stockholm Airport with three weekly rotations connecting Tokyo Haneda Airport and Stockholm Airport.
ANA intends to serve the route year-round with Boeing 787-8 aircraft, and according to its timetable services will increase to daily rotations from the start of the winter 2025/26 schedule from October 26, 2025.
Besides its importance for the passenger market, ANA will also bring in new cargo capacity, attracting not only Swedish cargo but also especially Norwegian seafood exports to Asia.
The new route will benefit from the already close trade and industrial cooperation between Japan and Sweden; Japan is Sweden’s second-largest Asian trading partner with about 150 Swedish companies operating in Japan, while Sweden is the largest Nordic export market for Japan with about 180 Japanese companies today settled in Sweden.
Serving the carrier for years as its cargo GSSA, Scanpartners is responsible for sales and marketing in all four Nordic markets as ANA goes from off-line to online in 2025.
