Jan 30, 2025 (newstodate): Kazakhstan's aviation industry is on a firm growth trajectory.
According to the country's Transport Ministry, Kazakhstan's airports handled a total of 30 mio passengers in 2024, of which the country's airlines accounted for 50 percent.
Kazakhstan's cargo business also experienced a growth by 17 percent, y-o-y, to a total of 27,880 tonnes in 2024.
In 2024, Kazakhstan's lead carrier Air Astana and its low-cost arm FlyArystan took delivery of 10 new aircraft, and in 2025 Kazakh airlines will expand their fleets with 18 deliveries including eight for Air Astana/FlyArystan, seven for Scat Airlines and five for Qazaq Air.
